Do you have vegetarian options?
Yes. Most of our food brand partners offer vegetarian options. Some provide limited vegan choices. It depends on the brand.
Do you serve gluten-free food?
Yes. We have some gluten-free options available, mostly through packaged foods and selected menu items.
What should I do if I’m unhappy with a meal at Applegreen?
If you’re not satisfied with your meal, you should speak directly to the food brand outlet manager and seek a replacement or refund.

Yes. Fast Charge is available across the US and is compatible with all electric vehicles, including Tesla. Reliable and easy to use, Fast Charge gets most EV batteries back up to 80% in under 40 minutes.
Can I find out if a fast charger is available before I get to an Applegreen location?
With our store locator you can check the current availability of fast chargers at each Applegreen location. This information is updated every 15 minutes.
What charging speeds does Applegreen Fast Charge provide?
Our fast chargers deliver up to 400kW in just 15 minutes. That's one hundred miles of range.

Can I use Applegreen Fast Charge without the app?

How long does EV charging take at Applegreen?
Charging time can vary depending on your vehicle, its current battery level, and how much power the vehicle is able to accept. Applegreen Fast Charge uses ultra-fast chargers that get most EV batteries back up to 80% in under 40 minutes.
How do I pay for charging at Applegreen Fast Charge?
There are 3 quick and easy ways to pay for Applegreen Fast Charge.
- Credit/Debit Card: Use the Nayax payment terminal. Simply tap and go, insert the card for chip payments, or swipe for magnetic strip transactions. Terminals accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
- Apple Pay/Google Pay: Hold your phone over the Nayax payment terminal.
- Applegreen Fast Charge App: Download and register your details to charge easily, quickly and reliably.
Can I use an RFID card to pay for Applegreen Fast Charge?
We currently do not accept RFID cards in the US. If you tap an RFID card from another EV charging network at Fast Charge, the transaction will fail and the charging session will not start.
Instead, use one of the payment methods suggested in the answer to “How do I pay for charging at Applegreen Fast Charge?”
Can I use my vehicle’s app to pay for Fast Charge?
Not at the moment. However, Applegreen is actively working with our partners to make payment through your vehicle’s native app possible in the future.
Do I need a subscription to use Applegreen Fast Charge?
No, not at all. No subscriptions or membership are needed to use our ultra-fast charging stations. We accept contactless, swipe, and inserted credit/debit cards as payment, along with Apple Pay and Google Pay. The Applegreen Fast Charge app is available in the US in the Apple Store or Google Play Store and can be used to pay for charging sessions also.
What happens if my credit/debit card won’t work?
First, check to see if your card has reached its contactless limit. Most card providers put this in place as a security precaution, and you may need to reset it. Second, make sure you have enough funds to cover the cost of the preauthorization charge.
Alternatively, you can try using a different card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Note that Fast Charge payment terminals accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Applegreen Fast Charge will not work with an RFID card from another EV charging network.
What is a preauthorization fee?
To facilitate a contactless payment, we temporarily reserve (or preauthorize) a fee from your bank account. This is not a charge, but a temporary hold, meaning that the fund held will be cleared by your bank within a few working days and Applegreen Fast Charge will only bill you for the kWh used. The duration of this hold is determined by your card provider’s policy.
We do this to confirm your payment method is valid and that there are funds available to pay for the charging session. If the full amount of the preauthorization fee is not used, the remainder will be returned to your account.
How long does it take for preauthorized payments to be returned?
This depends on the type of card you use and your bank. These funds are usually returned within 2 to 14 days. In some cases, though, it can be instant.
What happens if I’ve paid for my charging session, but it doesn’t start?
If your charging session doesn’t begin, remove the connector from your vehicle and place it back into the charging station holster. Restart the charging process by following the instructions shown on the charging station.

Please note that if you have been charged for the session, the transaction will automatically be voided and the funds will be returned to your account.
What is Autocharge and how does it work?
With Autocharge, your EV starts charging the moment you plug in. Simple. No need to use the app, tap or swipe a credit card, or press any buttons. Find out more about Autocharge.
Where can I find chargers enabled with Autocharge?
Autocharge is active across all of US Applegreen Fast Charge sites.
How much does an EV charging session cost at Applegreen?
There are no subscription or membership costs with Applegreen Fast Charge. You are charged only for the kilowatt hours (kWh) you use. The cost per kWh is displayed on the charger.
PLEASE NOTE: This price is subject to change at short notice to reflect the cost of energy and development costs. All prices include taxes and fees.
The session cost is calculated by multiplying the unit price by the number of kWh dispensed.
For example: The fast charger you’re using has dispensed 25.75 kWh and the price per unit is $0.59/kWh. This means the amount you will pay is 25.75 multiplied by 59c, which comes to a total of $15.19.
Will I be able to get a receipt for my charging session?
Right now, unfortunately, we are not able to provide receipts automatically in the US. But we are working on it and hope to have it available soon.
However, if you use the Applegreen Fast Charge app to begin your charging session, you can access the invoice for it. You can also get receipts as an app user by emailing customersupport@applegreenfastcharge.com or calling +1 888 557-7099.
What if I can’t disconnect the charging cable from my vehicle?
Please read the instructions shown on the charging station and check to make sure the session has finished before trying to remove the cable.
Each vehicle is different and has its own requirements for disconnecting the charging cable. Follow the procedure recommended by your vehicle manufacturer.
Here are some steps you can take if you think the charger cable is stuck:
- Push the cable firmly back into the vehicle.
- Make sure the charging session has ended via the charging station or on the screen inside your vehicle.
- Lock and unlock your vehicle.
Once you have successfully removed the charging cable, return it to the holster on the charging station.
What connectors/plugs are Applegreen Fast Charge stations fitted with?
Our ultra-fast chargers are fitted with CCS and NACS connectors.
Does Fast Charge work with Tesla vehicles?
Our site locations in NY, NJ, PA, OH and DE have NACS connectors that are all compatible with Tesla.
What if my EV is not charging as quickly as I expected?
Our ultra-fast chargers communicate with your EV to select the most appropriate charging rate.
Charging speeds may vary due to battery charge level, current use of the charging station, and climate conditions. Your vehicle charges faster when the battery is at a lower state of charge, while the rate of charge slows as it fills up.
Each EV has a unique charging curve, which limits the amount of charge the battery can accept at various states of charge. The control systems in the vehicle will automatically reduce the charging speed as the state of charge increases. In most vehicles, it slows down dramatically after the 80% charge level is reached.
What if the charger displays the not in-service indicator?
If the not in-service indicator is shown, or the screen says the charger is under maintenance, the unit cannot be used at that time. Try using another charger on site if one is available.
